Evaluating Your Own Beauty

Isabel Ortiz '18

*“ Woman tend to gravitate toward questions of
‘Am I beautiful?’ and ‘Am I enough?’
because that is what we have been taught
– to evaluate our own beauty.”

And the question is, why do we evaluate our own beauty?
Do you evaluate your own beauty?
You don’t need to base your worth on what society is telling you to believe in or if that cute boy likes you back. You need to base your worth on what do you believe is beautiful, pure, and honest. You need to believe you are wonderfully and beautifully made, and there will be no one like you.
Be confident in your own skin, enjoy yourself, love and embrace your beauty, love every curve, every imperfection, every smile, every feeling.
Love yourself for who you are and as you are.
Be crazy, adventurous, talented, warm, rebellious.
Be your own definition of beautiful
and grow from it.
Don’t evaluate yourself my numbers, critics, weight, quantity or quality.
Evaluate yourself by your honesty, respect, values, creativity.

Do you love yourself enough to not be evaluated?
