About Maryvale Muse
Maryvale Muse is a student-organized, student-edited, and student-compiled electronic literary magazine that features the work of students at Maryvale Preparatory School from 6th to 12th grade.  The Muse went through a number of print iterations before being relaunched in 2016 as an electronic journal.  Under the belief that student writing and art offers a unique opportunity to foster individuality, Maryvale Muse offers an online venue for remarkable student work.

The Legacy of Tyler P. Fick
Tyler P. Fick ’99, a Maryvale alumna, passed away in 2003 after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Her impact in the Maryvale community is undeniable: Tyler sought to enrich the lives of others with her passion for language and the written word.  She inspired students and faculty alike with her strength, wisdom, and composure.  The Tyler P. Fick Foundation thrives in her honor, bringing aid to charities and organizations made stronger by Tyler’s indomitable spirit.
